VISION
Forming true partnerships (kalyanamitta) in advancing knowledge, technology, and art based on the spirit of the ancient Nalanda University, spreading knowledge and wisdom to all human being.
MISSION
- Organizing multilateral dialogue forums to strengthen collaboration among members.
- Establishing cooperation and exchanging information to advance knowledge, technology, and art according to the needs of the contemporary world.
- Conducting joint activities in the fields of education, research, community service, and sustainable civilization development.
- Implementing the spirit of achieving shared glory in sharing knowledge and its development with humanity in accordance with the core values of the ancient Nalanda University.
GOAL
- The establishment of strong multilateral cooperation among Nalanda universities.
- The realization of tangible contributions through the unity of Nalanda universities worldwide in advancing knowledge, technology, and art according to the needs of the modern world.
- The realization of collective productivity and good governance among all member universities.
- The manifestation of the core values of ancient Nalanda University through the bond of brotherhood within the contemporary Nalanda community.
- Organizing regular scientific meetings to excavate and revive the core values of ancient Nalanda University.
MEMBERSHIP
ENROLL
The Association is composed of ordinary members, associate members, and honorary members.
Ordinary members are natural persons with competence and experience in education field. These skills and experience are presumed for individuals who :
- Hold a permanent or long term position in an educational or research institution in the field, or
- Have obtained a doctorate, or equivalent, or
- Are the author of several academic publications, or
- Have at least three years’ professional experience and have been involved in a academic activity.
- Associate members are natural persons with an educational degree and/or have competence in the field of education.
- Honorary members are natural persons who have dedicated their professional lives, or a significant part of it, to education and whose merits in this field are generally recognized.
- The minimum number of members is three.
DISSEMINATION OF THE ASSOCIATION
Membership is lost through :
- Written resignation sent by a formal letter or email to the Secretary General,
- The death of the natural person or the dissolution of the legal person,
- Failure to pay the annual membership fee for three consecutive years,
- Exclusion pronounced by the general meeting for serious reasons or prejudice to the interests of the Association.
- The general assembly takes its decision by a two-thirds majority of the members present or represented.
- Resigning or excluded members and their beneficiaries may not claim reimbursement of sums previously paid to the Association.
DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS
- Members are required to respect these Statutes and the decisions taken by the Association’s organ under these Statutes.
- Members are required to pay their annual membership fees to the Association.
